Life Coach – Session 01

During my first session with Shana, my chosen personal Mastery Life Coach, I made the breakthrough discovery that I am an empath.

An empath is someone who is highly aware of the emotions of those around them, to the point of feeling other people’s emotions themselves. Empaths see the world differently than other people; they’re keenly aware of others, their pain points, and what they need emotionally. You will find many people are drawn to them to express and share with them their innermost feelings and secrets.

During my first official session we discussed my goal of attending future sessions, my current situation and the process to attain my future self-outcome.

“I wanted to learn how to navigate around things so that no negative energy can affect me.” Zainab Achmat.

To achieve my goal, I realize that I will need to move forward in baby steps to prevent over-committing and under-delivering to myself. If I go in full force, I will end up burning myself out.

  • I have to become more proactive about any negative encounters I may be aware of that I will be faced with.
  • I need to find my safe space more often so that I can focus on the essence of my being.
  • I need to ground myself, meaning I need to fill my bucket with nature’s essence to function at my best in order to be able to assist my family, friends and staff. So often we are busy with our everyday routine hustle and bustle that we don’t realize we are just doing things to get them done and we are not giving it our full attention. If your foundation of your house crumbles, the whole house will collapse. We need to understand our role at home or work and decide wherever we want to find ourselves. You need to be strong to help yourself and others. Put yourself first.

In this video she talks about 4 signs that show you must ground yourself immediately. Tips how to ground yourself

The diamond discovery of my first session was realising that the idea of sitting there peacefully with this essence, for the first time in my life made me feel completely lost. It was the first time that I sat there not knowing how to ground myself. Not knowing what to do, I felt overwhelmed to the point I had to contain myself not to cry.

Picture this experience:

You are completely debt ad worry free; everything that you need to do is done; if you have kids, they are sorted; your work is up to date; your deadlines are met; your food is done; and now you get a moment to just sit and relax.

Do you feel restless like you will sit there and go through your mental “do to list” and start ticking it off to see what you can do now, since you have time?

Well this is a sign that you not grounded.

Sometimes we need to take that 5 to 10 minutes to ground yourself, to refuel and energize yourself to carry on for the rest of the day. When I’m burnt out, I tend to drive to my tranquil space like the beach. I now realize that the beach is nature. It’s a neutral place. That is why, when my vibrations are high, I go there to relax, to calm me and bring me back down to neutral space.  I go to my tranquil place to ground myself and fill my bucket /recharge my batteries. When I leave the beach or after sitting by a fireplace, I feel recharged, like I am ready to taking on daily tasks again. It all makes sense why I am so forgetful from time to time because my mind is like a steam engine always moving. I find that I wake up at the oddest hours in the morning with ideas or things to do that I need to jot down.

I commit to visit my time of essence (time to find peace so that I can ground myself)

  • at midday (after my afternoon prayer)
  • before I go sleep.

I aim to be mindful of the feeling it gives me, and I journal the feelings I experience.

A message from Shana Hendricks (Mastery Life Coach)

The human being spends years seeking happiness through a reaction process of how others have saddened them. Here is something to guide your inevitable journey: Happiness does not dwell in countering sadness nor does it rely on the behaviour of others.

Happiness is a decision to spend time to get to know yourself a little more each day and to accept yourself unconditionally. Until one day you come to a full understanding of why you are made and what you are made for and then my dear friends, you will notice finding yourself in the space of BEING happy. This is called the art of Grounding.

When you are feeling ready to manifest your intended purpose, then I encourage you to journey alongside Zainab by following her blogs. Perhaps Personal Mastery Coaching is exactly what you are looking for.

Until next time, I am sending love, peace and blessings.

Yours in coaching

Shana Hendricks

Very deep. I find those moments just after prayer or during A quiet walk along a beach or nature trail
